Fishing in Carinthia's Natural Arena
A paradise for lake and fly fishing offers Carinthia's Natural Arena. Rainbow trout, lake trout, lake char, pike, carps, pike perch, tenches grayling, etc.. Whenever a seasoned fly-fisherman hears the name “Gail river”, his eyes light up.
This river and its tributaries, which flow through the entire length of Carinthia's Natural Arena are known as an “Eldorado” for those versed in the high art of angling.
Anglers who prefer still waters are in the right place at lake Weissensee. Powan, lake trout, and more than 20 other species of fish thrive in this idyllic lake with their largely untouched shores. Very large catches are however also possible at lake Pressegger See.
