Ski pleasure in Carinthia's Natural Arena
Carinthia's Natural Arena- Nassfeld, Gailtal, Gitschtal, Lesachtal, Weissensee" has much to offer for winter enthusiasts: the biggest conglomoration of pistes in Carinthia will be found in the skiing area Nassfeld-Hermagor, while "Weissbriach", Weissensee" and "Kötschach-Mauthen" have small but excellent family skiing areas to offer.
Nassfeld-Hermagor, is located in South-west Carinthia, directly on the border to Italy. 30 lifts (5 cable-cars, 3 6-seater chair-lifts, 4 4-seater chair-lifts, 18 T-bar lifts) carry up to 39.000 passengers per hour up to over 2.000 metres above sea level, from which point skiers and snowboarders spread out over 120 kilometres of pistes at all levels of difficulty.
Fancy trying something new? How about experimenting with the tube, snowbike, skifox, airboard, sled, board, scooter, carver or blades? In the „NTC“, synonymous with variety and fun in the snow, you have the possibility to try out all the -mentioned sports equipment and, if you so desire, hire or buy it, as well, of course, as more traditional equipment such as skis, cross-country sets, toboggans and snow boots. The friendly and best trained staff will be delighted to advise you on all the latest sporting trends.
3 Family Skiing Areas
The family skiing areas at "Weissbriach", "Weissensee" and "Kötschach-Mauthen" bring the number of ski-runs kilometres in the Ski- & Naturaena up to an impressive 119 km. There are individual lift-passes for these smaller skiing areas. For this reason you will find different ski-passes , like the Nassfeld ski-pass, from 1 ½ day onwards, is valid in all Carinthian and East-Tirol skiing-areas.
By the way: although the 3 skiing areas may be smaller than Nassfeld-Hermagor, they can be covered in snow by the latest snowmakers too.
